My name is Mariel. I am an artist, cultural worker, and junction maker. I work across mediums, primarily in theatre and performance art, experimenting with ways to convey intimate stories that emerge from my encounters with the people around me. I am drawn to inhabiting uncomfortable spaces - from family, to the wilderness, both within and without. I believe that we can restore our relationships with ourselves, those closest to us, and ‘the other’, by listening, pondering, and seeking connections vulnerably.
