Inspired by Michael Ontaatje’s novel, Running in the Family was born from the pressing need to document the artist’s family history. This web documentary traces her maternal roots through an interactive family tree, interviews with relatives, archival materials, and even a choose-your-own-adventure story. The opening film sums up the spirit of the project: to capture both the intimate and dramatic stories of her antecedents, weaving it together into a living narrative.
